Friendly Firework Reminder

Good Afternoon,

With the weather finally taking its Autumnal turn, during my foot patrols of Cheam, I have noticed signage up for the Cheam Village Fireworks Night.

As with every year, I would like to take this opportunity to ensure that if any local residents are looking to set off fireworks, I would politely request the following;

-Let your neighbors know.

This is probably the most important thing. Whether it be to make sure pets are adequately looked after or there is no nasty surprises to anyone trying to grab an early night, please make people aware.

-That's all, folks

There are strict hours for fireworks being set off. While there are exceptions for certain events, 11pm is the cut off.
 

-If in doubt, don't.

Fireworks aren't toys. They require proper attention and care when setting off safely and securely. If you have even a slight doubt in your ability to manage these properly, avoid trying to do it yourself and attend one of the many displays across both Sutton and London.
